Packing & Handling

Without doubt, one of the most important aspects of any international move has to be the quality of the packing and handling of your treasured possessions. Our packing crews go through a rigorous in-house training programme and we are well aware that for our company to be competitive, we must provide a better service than other companies. Our senior crew members and Move Managers are offered the opportunity to share in the companies future success through a scheme which is individually related to each move. This system benefits our clients and our company alike as it motivates our staff to give an optimum performance in every move they undertake. Our staff understand that they are the forefront of our business and the key to our future success and growth. Following every move we complete we ask for a quality control form to be completed and these are assessed personally by our Managing Director to the monitor performance of everyone involved.

We use only the finest packing materials. For instance, acid free tissue paper for silverware and additional carding for highly polished surfaces. All delicate and fragile items such as pianos, fine art and antiques are packed using a specific export wrap and then cased at your residence for export. At every point we ensure everything we pack and move receives the maximum protection possible.
On completion of packing your goods, the crew will inventory and label your items at residence. Labels will carry customer’s name, reference number and destination details. Our crew will also supply you with a copy of the inventory list containing the content information of each item packed. A copy of this list is sent to our partner company at destination to ensure an accurate check of all pieces and also for presentation to customs to complete any necessary formalities.

The Quotation

Following your initial contact with our office our trained staff will be happy to advise you further on the procedures for your chosen destination and assess the volume of personal possessions that will require relocating. Should it be required we will arrange a free of charge, no obligation survey of your residence and the effects to be moved. This is a meeting between you and one of our trained surveyors at your home on a predetermined date of your choice. The surveyor’s main role is to assess the volume of the items being moved, packing materials required, access problems, parking and other particular issues. The representative will also discuss the needs and requirements that relate to your individual move and the documentation required for your particular destination. This will hopefully provide us with everything we need to tailor a proposal to your specific individual needs.

With smaller consignments it should be possible for us to ascertain the volumes involved over the phone or by your completion of our "online quotation" form should you find this an easier alternative. At Destination

We have a global network of experienced partner companies that we work with regularly and who are chosen due to their ability to provide the high standard of service we demand for the final stage of your move. Upon arrival at destination, they will appoint a Move Manager as a local contact for you who will deal with the customs formalities and delivery of your household goods. Upon delivery all furniture items will be unwrapped and placed in the correct rooms within your residence and the contents of the cartons unpacked onto flat surfaces. All packaging debris will then be removed from your residence.
